First published on September 23, 2017, republishing it here, since it was Guru Poornima yesterday. Not too late to give your thanks to Gurus and teachers and those who have guided you in life!!
The distant golden ball is the Puran Chandrama (Full Moon) of Guru Purnima (the full moon night) August 2016
Guru Poornima is celebrated to honor Gurus----both spiritual and otherwise. So, teachers and anyone who has guided us is honoured. The above picture is from a celebration in Delhi, on Guru Poornima last year. Guru Poornima should not be confused with Teacher's day ,which is 5th of September. Poorinma means full moon---so while it always falls on a full moon, the date is often different.
Apologies readers, nothing exciting here, but hope to return with more stories.
